'GTA 6' Vice City News & Location: Gameplay Possibilities With New 2019 Title Release? [Rumors]

Immediately after the release of "GTA 5" for PC, the game has shot through the charts to become the second most popular game on Steam, behind Dota 2. The PC game launched on April 14 and has been one of the hottest topic online.

With the success the "GTA 5" series has reached, many are now speculating what the next title has in store.

A much earlier comment made by Studio President Leslie Benzies is that no release date has been definitively pegged but it all begins with the location. However, they are primarily focused on developing the continuing updates for "GTA 5."

"We don't know what GTA VI will be, but we've got some ideas. GTA Online is the focus right now. There ain't no rest between finishing V and then Online. Plus we have some other things - stuff, DLC, I don't know how to describe it exactly - that we'd like to do, and we'll pick the right ones."

Based on the estimate of The Fuse Joplin, the "GTA 6" release date is pegged to be sometime between 2018 and 2020, making 2019 the safest bet. This is a pretty consistent estimate given that the release between GTA 4 and GTA 5 was five years. Rockstar Studios has always believed in quality over quantity and keeps its secrets tightly sealed while developments are performing at its peak.

Given all that we have seen in the previous titles, here is a quick list of what is expected for "Grand Theft Auto VI":

Linked Games - As the GTA world continues to expand with each release, Benzies admitted previously to Digital Trends (via Christian Today) that they aim to make everything interconnected. Leslie was quoted saying: "Of course at some point we would like to have one big world containing all our cities and let the player fly between them and revisit their favorite areas."

Could it be that the next title will allow gamers this possibility?

Female Character - After the recent introduction of the multiple-protagonist structure, as a franchise first, Rockstar founder Dan Houser hinted that we could see the game's first ever female protagonist, which could take place in the next installment, notes TFJ.

Time Period - Throughout the franchise, we've seen a range of period-specific settings. Per GamesRadar, while there are different ways to go about this, the site believes the "underrepresented" period that could liven the series would have to be a "'70s-era Black Dynamite-inspired setting."

Location - The location of the upcoming title remains one of the most hotly debated topic. There are many that believe the game will take place in London while others point to New York, Portland as well a Vice City.
