Taylor Swift is allegedly dating EDM DJ Calvin Harris. Although the relationship has not been officially confirmed by either side as of yet, Swiftie’s BFF, Ed Sheeran, is reportedly onboard.
Sheeran’s positive critique has proven false the earlier rumors that said he was against a budding romance between Swift and Harris. His recent statements indicate that he has given his stamp of approval for a Swift-Harris romance and even thinks that the DJ is a great person.
“He is cool,” Sheeran told iHeartRadio’s ZM Station. “He is a really nice guy. Yeah, really, really nice guy.”
The Grammy nominee is actually a very close friend of Swift’s and also worked with the “Blank Space” singer in her new single, titled “Everything Has Changed.” He was never hesitant in praising Harris, but managed to keep mum about the actual status of the two internationally famous artists.
“Well, I would give the seal of approval with – you know,” Sheeran continued. “Certain people are nice people in the industry. “I met him, probably, like, a year ago – maybe a year and a half. So, yeah, he is a good guy – really, really good guy.”
Harris and Swift were first spotted hanging out a month ago. A romance between them would be the first for the “Style” artist in a span of two years. Plus, Harris is not the first huge star she dated as she also went out with Harry Styles of One Direction, Jake Gyllenhaal, and John Mayer, according to Us Weekly.
Just last month, they were seen having some quality time together in Nashville and were riding on jet planes just to see each other.
“They are just having so much fun together and really enjoying each other,” added the source. “They are both wildly successful and creative and music lovers. It works on so many levels. It is fun and not heavy. They are not thinking about marriage or anything yet. It is just having fun and seeing where it goes.”
Fletch, Megan, and Vaughan of ZM Station then pried Sheeran about Harris’ good looks and asked him how the DJ got “so hot.” Sheeran was pretty quick and clever in his response, showing that he is indeed an adorable, witty redhead. “I think people blossom,” he answered. “I am still waiting.”
Meanwhile, Sheeran has not been quite lucky with his love life. According to E! Online, he had revealed on the “Kyle and Jackie O” show that he and his then-girlfriend Athina Andrelos decided to break up after over a year of dating.
