"New Girl" star Zooey Deschanel and partner Jacob Pechenik just purchased a new Manhattan Beach home that's a massive upgrade from the apartment she shares with her flatmates.
Variety reports that the new residence is has 5,166-square-feet and has such a homey, traditional feel.
With a price tag of $4.569 million, the site described the home as "quasi-Cape Cod/Colonial-style." The residence is perfect for a growing family with six bedrooms, 5.75 baths, a massive kitchen, walk-in closet, living room with fireplace, wine storage and high ceilings.
On top of this new purchase, the new home isn't the first real estate venture by the eclectic celebrity, Deschanel also owns a 1930s Hollywood Hills cottage and a 1920s Spanish style duplex.
Zooey's Pregnancy
The American actress, musician and songwriter is currently pregnant and this new home may well be her new nest for her growing family.
As reported earlier by E! Online, Deschanel is expecting her first child with Pechenik with the baby due this summer. Per an insider, the actress' pregnancy shouldn't affect the show's production. With filming having wrapped up, the stars have a four to five month hiatus but its possible the fifth season of the series could be delayed next fall.
The schedule will be confirmed at a later date but it's believed that the pregnancy won't be written into the plot of the series.
The 35-year-old celebrity comes from a family of big name icons, as the sister of fellow actress Emily Deschanel and daughter of five-time Oscar-nominated cinematographer Caleb Deschanel.
Sisters Emily and Zooey are both pregnant, this current child being the "Bones" actress' second child. The baby will reportedly be written into the show, like her firstborn.
Talking to People earlier, she admits enjoying pregnancy. Aside from the comforta1ble clothes, she likes the appetite.
"I'm used to being able to go long periods of time without eating," she admitted. "Now I'll wake up hungry sometimes, and I'm like, 'What? I've never woken up hungry in my life!' Every day I wake up, and I'm, like, 'Breakfast, please!'"
Another person thrilled with the pregnancy is co-star Jake Johnson. "Jess is not going to have a baby," Jake recently (via Life & Style Mag), "It'd be a weird 'Three Men And A Baby' vibe."
Zooey's co-star shared his happiness for his colleague. "She's a good friend and this is an awesome thing in her life," Jake told E!. "I think she's going to be a great mom."
