NBA Homes? No, But These Mansions Have Private Basketball Courts!

For all the bona fide Hoop junkies out there, "basketball, indeed, never stops". Even as the US NCAA College basketball is about to come to an end, the March Madness need not wear off.

Curbed has done a great job compiling this list of baller homes equipped with, as you might have guessed, a basketball court. Let's check out some of them.

First off in the list is the over-the-top six story-high New York City townhouse in Murray Hill. The basketball floor is nestled on the topmost floor of a 7,200 square foot residential quadruplex. The multi-family townhouse cum single-home unit has four huge beds and 5.5 baths. Checks out these photos via StreetEasy.

The listing of this 38th street building is courtesy of Douglas Elliman and it comes with a price tag of $8.35 million. Basketball junkies would surely take delight over the property's basketball gym which is also highlighted by oversized glass windows and doors that lead to an outdoor terrace.

The unit also comes with a chef's kitchen complete with granite countertops, his-and-her marbled baths for the master suite, an elevator, and an office space.

Curbed New York also made mention about a six-floor loft mega mansion at the sought-after Tribeca neighborhood in Lower Manhattan. The owner of the unit will have the expansive professional gym and basketball court situated in the basement all to himself for a mind-boggling price of $43 million.

According to ThePinnacleList, the unit, with "almost 30,000 sq. ft. of usable interior space," was built back in 1862 and has long been renovated to conform to the highest standards of luxury living. One of the striking features of the eight bedroom and 10 bath Tribeca townhouse in Duane Street is its seemingly floating and modern-looking staircase.

Meanwhile, a 8,000 square foot of single-family unit located along 83rd Street in New York was just recently listed. The photos of the four-story Upper East Side residence reveals that it "contains one of the largest private gardens in New York City" as per StreetEasy.

The basketball court just above the kitchen space was confined within a glass-encased gym area with 13x28' dimension. Just about everything in the five bedroom and 6.5 bathroom townhouse is expansive. The asking price currently stands at $29,500,000 as listed by Leslie J. Garfield.

Another basketball-crazy haven made the list with a rooftop basketball court enclosed in a dome. The Centre Market Place townhouse in Little Italy is designed by the Novogratz's, a husband and wife tandem of designers.

Gregory Soros got a hold of this property back in 2010 for $12 million. He first tried to unload the unit in 2013 for the same price tag. Unable to find a rightful new owner, he clamped down on the initial asking price and lowered it to $10.5 million this January, as told by Curbed New York. Click here for the photos.

As of press time, the Wisconsin Badgers would figure in a tussle against the Duke Blue Devils for the winner-takes-all NCAA tournament crown.
