What happened to Superman? New photos have surfaced that show "Man of Steel" star Henry Cavill sporting a very fresh shiner over an eye.
According to Mail Online, while filming for the upcoming blockbuster "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" is probably grueling and intense, fans need not worry because the black eye was sustained during a round of rugby.
The usually groomed actor decided to go for a more comfortable look. Cavill, who plays the role of Superman and Clark Kent, was dressed down for a casual night at Raffles, a private members club. The hunky Brit sported a green hooded jacket, denim jeans, black shoes and a scruffy beard.
Mystery Woman
In most photos taken of the Hollywood star, the handsome actor commands attention but this time fans are more interested in the woman who is lucky enough to be holding Henry's hand.
In the images, we see an unidentified lady that Cavill has draped his arm over and holds hands with. The woman who is all smiles, sports an ensemble of black. The long-haired brunette is seen wearing a dress, boots, leather jacket, all topped off with a Prada purse.
Behind Cavill and his gal-pal is his good buddy "Jupiter Ascending" actor Eddie Redmayne who followed out of the establishment alone.
"Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice"
During an earlier interview with Mail Online (via ScreenRant), Cavill spoke about the upcoming multi-superhero flick. The actor teased a bit about what fans can expect from the film and his respect for director Zack Snyder.
"It's Zack Snyder so it's going to be a visual spectacle and it's cinematic history. We're doing Batman and we're doing Superman and it's all happening at the same time so fingers crossed it turns out to be as exciting as I think it is."
The actor also had praises for his co-star Ben Affleck who will make his caped crusader debut (https://screenrant.com/batman-vs-superman-henry-cavill-thoughts-ben-affleck/ via Screen Rant):
"I'm sure he'll be fantastic above all else. And as a filmmaker, he's got his own style, you know. He's not copying anyone else. And he's also sort of being tenacious in his career. He's had ups followed by downs and now he's very up again, and I think that requires and shows a very special strength of character. And it's something which I enjoy working with because jobs like this require strength of character, they require a dedication to the work and belief in oneself. And Ben has that, clearly."
Rumors of trailer leaks have been reported but as to an official trailer, none have been unveiled. "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" is due to hit the theaters on March 25, 2016.
