'Terminator 5: Genisys' Star Arnold Schwarzenegger Made His First Million in Real Estate

It may come as a surprise for most of us to know that the "Terminator 5: Genisys" star Arnold Schwarzenegger, was an esteemed speaker in a real estate summit held in Brisbane, as reported in The Daily Telegraph

This is not at all strange for those real estate agents present in the Brisbane's Royal International Convention Centre who willingly paid the $200 entrance to see the movie star, reports The North West Star. They knew quite well why the famous action hero and California governor is the right motivational speaker for their group.

It was such a humble and noble act for Schwarzenegger to go out of his way to fly to Brisbane for the real estate convention. He had a busy day, prior to that engagement. He was even in Melbourne previously, attending the Formula 1 Grand Prix. Next, he also was in the launch of the 2015 Arnold Classic Australia bodybuilding championship---where he even was pulled by a police because he did not wear a helmet while riding a bike, reports The Daily Telegraph.

It must be true that real estate is close to his heart. Arnold, met with the group to tell them something most people don't know--he made his first million in real estate.

The "Terminator" actor proved to be a fun speaker. He shared several jokes based on his life to break the ice and make him more relatable. He said, "If I had of listened to the naysayers I'd be yodelling in Austria and not the 38th Govenor of California,'' he said, as reported in The Daily Telegraph.

However, what amazed the audience was his real estate stories. Schwarzenegger said that he put together his first earnings from working on building sites and bodybuliding contests as a capital. He proudly said that he invested $27,000  to purchase block of six units or properties and made $169,000 profits, notes The Daily Telegraph.

His determination in achieving great heights in real estate may be likened to his feat at 20 years old---he became the youngest Mr. Universe in history. He said, that he was able to do every push-up, every curl-up for a 5-hr training because he had that vision of success that moved him, reports The North West Star.

Powered with gusto, he persevered and achieved a large real estate portfolio, reports The Daily Telegraph.

There was also one thing that guided him in his journey. He promised to himself that, "I would not get into a position where I would have to take a job or do a role just because I had to make money to make a living, '' said Schwarzenegger, according to The Daily Telegraph.

Glen Twiddle, a self-confessed Arnold Schwarzenegger fan, organized the real estate convention. Earlier, he promised the movie star that he would lose weight just so Arnold would commit to attend the event. The 67-year old actor vowed to return and promote his "Terminator 5" movie in Australia, reports The Daily Telegraph.
