You might be doing some of these tasks more often than necessary, which means more work for yourself.

House Gutters

Interior leaks and moisture damage to roofs and eaves are some of the results of clogged gutters.  Cleaning gutters can be done once a year, and the best time to do so is after the leaves have fallen in the autumn. But if your property has lots of evergreen and pine trees around your home that sheds needles all-year-round, you may need to clean your gutter as often as needed. A much better idea would be installing a gutter guard that deflect debris.

Shades, Drapes, and Curtains

Shades, drapes, and curtains, though hanging vertically, can still attract airborne odor and dust molecules. They can be changed once a year. When taking down drapes, check its panels for special instruction. It is also a great time to dust off rods and other hardware.

Clean Outdoor Furniture

Outdoor furniture can be cleaned once per year if you have been spot cleaning them all year round. If stains and dirt have set into them for months, it will be a bit tougher to clean it. It is achievable, but it is going to be tough, nonetheless. The best time to clean outdoor furniture is during the spring.

Cleaning and reorganizing kitchen cabinets can also be done once a year. The best time to do so is after the holidays. Work in sections when completely emptying the cupboards. It is the best time to get rid of expired foods on the shelves and cabinet. Wipe down the shelves and corners to remove dust and add some shelf paper if you do not have some. Also, check the cabinets for insect infestation and mold, especially if you have stored foods in them.

Carpet and Upholstered Furniture

Your carpet and upholstered furniture can also be cleaned once a year. The best time to do this is when summer activities wind down, just before moving to indoor activities. During this time, your carpets and upholstery need a deep cleaning to remove dirt, pet dander, and pollen. This might be another tough task to complete by yourself, but it is achievable. If you want an easier solution, you can either rent a cleaning machine or call a professional to do the job.
