Florida Property is Up For Sale Where Early Spanish Colonial Artifacts Were Unearthed

When Ben and Jenny Welu decided to demolish their old home a few years ago to make way for the new, they triggered a chain of events that opened a revealing window into the world of Pensacola, Florida in the 16th century.

In 2015, artifacts dating to the mid-16th century were discovered on their property. The artifacts have provided tremendous insight into a Spanish settlement where Spanish explorer Don Tristán de Luna established the first permanent European colony in North America in 1559
