The upcoming third season of "House of Cards" is fast-approaching and news has been circulating that the life of an Underwood may be coming to an end.
Based on a new report by Enstarz, could it be that Claire Underwood (Rachel Wright) will murder Frank (Kevin Spacey)? According to the site, the site reviews that based on the new trailer, Claire seems more upfront about her dissatisfaction.
"I am starting to question all of this Francis, what are we doing this for?" said Claire in the opening of the 30-second video released by Netflix' YouTube account. The voice over plays while Claire exercises with a serious face in a rowing machine while in the White House.
In the earlier trailer released a month earlier, we can see that the scheming couple continues their plots but now, as President and First Lady of the United States of America.
Rumors of a death began with the first trailer when we saw a glimpse of Claire looking over a body in the morgue and looks sad as she covers the lower part of her face. Latin Times notes that while we don't know who dies, but Claire is definitely there to ID the body.
"Claire kills Frank - In the original BBC version of 'House of Cards' Claire kills her husband at the end of season three. Fans have been wondering if that same outcome will come to the American version and if the trailer is any indication then it we may see the end of Frank Underwood.," speculated the publication.
There is also speculation that it could go the other way with Frank killing Claire.
The trailer ends with the First Lady saying, "We're murderers, Francis," to which Frank responds a cold, "We're survivors."
What's Going To Happen?
There's a delicious, vicarious journey that (viewers) get to take with Francis," quoted NY Daily News of showrunner Beau Willimon. "There are aspects that they admire as much as they loathe" about the menacing character played by Spacey.
"There's something inherently optimistic about Frank Underwood," and continues, "He looks at the impossible and says that it might be possible. And despite being a murderer, Underwood is fundamentally hopeful."
Fans are infinitely more curious following the leak two weeks earlier when a "technical glitch" saw a number of "House of Cards" episodes leak online only to be taken down 10 minutes later.
The original BBC series "House of Card" season three will premiere on February 27.
