'Dragon Age: Inquisition' PC, Xbox One, XBox 360, PS4, PS3 Patch 5 Beta Update: List of Upcoming Features Here

'Dragon Age: Inquisition" players are in for some good news as BioWare has just confirmed its the Patch 5 beta program for the popular game.

In an announcement on its official blog, the developer cites customers comments have been heard and a major update is coming soon.

"For Dragon Age: Inquisition, we've developed a faster and more compressed patch schedule than any prior BioWare game. However, due to the nature of the certification process, it can often still take weeks after developing a fix to release it on different platforms. 

Because of this, we continue to explore new ways to foster better communication between our players and developers," thus their Patch 5 beta program. The site shares that they're planning to open a select group of PC players to get instant feedback as well as be given an opportunity to work directly with game players."

"Patch 5 will be the biggest patch we've released to date, and it addresses a number of key concerns for our community," said the team in its statement.

The Patch, the biggest to be released, will include access to the Black Emporium -- an underground shop run by an immortal proprietor.

"There [in the Emporium], Inquisitors can find powerful artifacts and tools to aid their cause, purchase epic weapons, powerful accessories, new crafting materials and schematics, and even change their voice and facial appearance using the Mirror of Transformation," detailed BioWare.

The Patch will also contain access improvements including additional mouse button bindings.

Based on the process, to quality PC players will have to sign up and when selected assist in the development and testing of the patch. The developer says the closed beta program -- via The Keep -- will be available in the near future.

Party storage is being added to the Undercroft in Skyhold -- "a new feature that many players asked for and we're happy to finally add. And for those looking to spice up their look, we've added an item tinter that lets players use crafting materials to change the color of armor," continued BioWare.

To summarize, below is a list of the main features included in the Patch (via IGN):

  • A special underground market run by an undying shopkeeper called the Black Emporium that offers a host of special items and weapons
  • Players can also change their character's appearance using a magic mirror found only in the Black Emporium
  • A new key binding system that supports additional mouse buttons
  • A auto-attack binding for single player
  • The ability to adjust the size of subtitles
  • The ability to adjust shader quality for more precise optimization
  • Party storage is being added to the Undercroft in Skyhold
  • The ability to change the color of items through the crafting system
