Do not get yourself mistaken between modern and contemporary designs. As often as the two are used interchangeably, they are not like two peas in a pod.

Homedit.com notes that what separates one from the other is its history and methodology. Contemporary refers to what is the latest fad in design. And just like in fashion, it evolves, its dynamic, and it varies with time. Modern design, on the other hand, strictly adheres to its one particular form. It's what we have come to know as that clean, minimalistic, un-embellished, and geometrical design.

Now that we're able to get that out of the way, let's take a look at five of the typical modern homes of some of our favorite people on the planet. And of course, don't be surprised if you see these homes reflect the contemporary style, as well. There are instances that modern and contemporary designs share the same features, or simply blended together -- they look like two peas in a pod.
