iPhone 6S, iPhone 6S Plus, iPhone 7 Rumors, Release Date & Price: Top 5 Rumored New iPhone Features

Even as the recently released iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus remains the hottest must-have gadget, Apple seems to be working hard to deliver more radical features for its next iPhone, dubbed as the iPhone 6S and iPhone 7.

To help you decide if you should go for the iPhone 6 and/or 6 Plus or wait for the next-gen smartphone, here is a round up of the top 5 rumored specs the next iPhone is expected to have.

1.   A9 Processor - Samsung is believed to have begun production of Apple's A9 chip for the iPhone 6S or iPhone 7 due out this year. TechTimes reports that the A9 chips will be more batter efficient and faster than those previously designed. Samsung will be supplying the upgraded chips from its 14-nanometer process line.

2.   Enhanced Camera - According to Apple Insider, the new iPhone could carry an improved camera system which includes dual-lens array as well as an overhauled module that will have an optical zoom function. This will enable users to enjoy an improved low-light performance for clearer images.

"I've heard that it's some kind of weird two-lens system where the back camera uses two lenses," blogger and developer John Gruber said via Business Insider, "and it somehow takes it up into DSLR quality imagery."

3.   Sidewall Display - Taking a cue from Samsung's new Edge technology, PC Advisor reports that there are rumors that suggest that with the next iPhone could have sidewall displays where screens spillover to the camera's sidewalls, much like the Samsung Galaxy Edge recently introduced.

4.   Health Monitor Sensors - TechnoBuffalo shares that to make the Health App more relevant, Apple is believed to be looking at ways to integrate sensors and a 3D pressure sensor for health monitoring functions into its smartphone.

5.   Reversible Charger - Following the introduction of the lighting cable charger, Apple is rumored to be developing yet another cable, this time one that is more practical. A number of sources have reported that Apple is working on a reversible USB lightning cable and adapter that will bow to markets along with the new iPhone.

Release Date

Apple hasn't made comments on it's plans for its next iPhone but in keeping with its usual release dates, we can expect the iPhone 6S or iPhone 7 sometime in Sept. It's also being claimed that Apple may be releasing two devices, one along with the Apple Watch in the coming weeks and another in the fall, during its regular time slot.

Price

No price has been estimated but following the price increase for the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, it's believed the changes won't be so radical physically thus the prices should remain along the lines of the latest iPhones.
