A Narrow House is On the Market for £800,000

A 10-foot wide or three-meter wide home is for sale seeking for £800,000.

Living small must be a new trend. First, a college professor from Huston-Tillotson University in Austin has shown what it is like living in a dumpster that was turned into a small pad. Then a small, about 47 sq. m. in size, studio apartment in London's exclusive Knightsbridge neighborhood finds its way into the market seeking £1.175 million. Now, another small residence is being listed for £800,000.

What makes this small house with a big price tag different form other small living spaces? According to Metro, it has off-road parking fit for only one car, a garden and it is very close to trendy Lordship Lane and Peckham Rye Park. Moreover, it is not really that small because what it lacks in width it makes up by being long. Inside the house, the two bedrooms and the modern bathroom are on the second floor, then the open-plan kitchen/diner/lounge and a generous garden is on the ground floor. The total living space of the property is 787sq ft. It can be a comfortable space to live in, except for the fact that you can't expect a king-sized bed to easily fit into any one of the rooms.

This lean but long home on Barry Road is listed with Foxtons for £800,000. According to Zoopla, the average price of homes within the area are at £636,182. The area has access to several business establishments, transportation, schools and public services.

Last yaer, Foxton also listed another skinny house that had a hefty price tag. According to Metro, a two-bedroom house in London, which is only 8ft wide, went on the market for £750,000. It is located in Barnsbury, which is a classy suburb in the north London, sandwiched between two obviously bigger properties.
