‘Spider-Man’ Reboot Movie: Tom Holland Talks Lead Role as Peter Parker; Will Captain America, Iron Man Join Spidey in New Film?

The latest "Spider-Man" film has experienced its fair share of setbacks after the production made a cast overhaul. Yet now that they have found their lead, the film is ready to welcome Tom Holland as the new Spidey while it plans to add two well-known Marvel characters into the story.

In an interview with Jimmy Kimmel, Chris Evans and Robert Downey, Jr. revealed that they will both be filming a movie as Iron Man and Captain America in Atlanta soon. Since the "Infinity War" production is not starting anytime soon and all other Marvel movie adaptations are currently filming outside the U.S., the only film the duo could be pertaining to is the rebooted "Spider-Man" film.

Tom Holland recently mentioned that the "Spider-Man" movie will be shooting in Georgia, so if this is any indication, then Captain America and Iron Man are indeed making an appearance in the upcoming Marvel film. According to earlier rumors, Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.) will help Peter Parker (Tom Holland) create his new Spidey suit. It is unknown how Captain America (Chris Evans) will be written into the plot, though.

Meanwhile, Tom Holland, the successor of Andrew Garfield as the web-swinging superhero, dished out how he was cast for the role of Peter. The 19-year-old actor, just like others, had to make an audition tape to be able to be considered for the lead role, Who Say noted.

"I basically did a somersault into frame and a somersault out of frame and I was like, 'They may never see this but if they do I need them to know that I've got some gymnastics abilities and stuff,'" the theater actor said. He added that he sent a few tapes to the production and every time, the "Billy Elliot" star would add a few acrobatics to increase his chances of playing Spider-Man.

The "In the Heart of the Sea" actor will debut as Spidey in the upcoming "Captain America: Civil War" film then will start filming as the lead of the new "Spider-Man" movie following Andrew Garfield's two movie installments.
