'General Hospital' Casting News: John J. York Returns As Mac Scorpio

"General Hospital" spoilers tease that someone is returning to the ABC soap and it is none other than John. J. York. York is best known for his character portrayal of Mac Scorpio.

It has been awhile since Mac was last seen in Port Charles. According to Soap Opera Spy, it is not because he left the show already but his character just simply die down in the current flow of the storylines. It seems like the writers do not find the relevance of having Mac around for quite some time.

It has been reported that in this week's edition of Soap Opera Digest, spoilers tease that York is set to go back to Port Charles, but he will only have a short stint.

The magazine shared that Anna Devane will have an important and revealing conversation with her former brother-in-law and it is known to many that is pertaining to Mac, the brother of Robert Scorpio.

Meanwhile, "GH" spoilers just confirmed that Tristan Rogers is set to come back to Port Charles. It has been reported last October that Rogers will soon return to Port Charles as Robert Scorpio.

Frank Valentini, "General Hospital" executive producer said that "Scorpio is such a beloved legacy character who evokes a sense of nostalgia and I know the fans have been patiently waiting for Tristan's return." He continued, "I share their sentiments and enthusiasm and that of our entire GH team in welcoming him home. It's been a fantastic week of casting announcements for GH, but it's not over yet."

As for Tristan, he is certainly happy to be back again on GH and said, "I am delighted to be visiting my GH family once again and look forward to what Robert Scorpio has in store."

"General Hospital" airs every weekdays on ABC.
