The "Sword Art Online" movie adaptation is officially underway; however, the season 3 of the said TV anime series boots out to summer 2016. The official announcement of the movie adaptation was made at the Dengeki Bunko Autumn Festival.
Vine Report says that the "Sword Art Online" anime season 3 might be delayed. The TV anime series is already slated for release before 2015 ends. But it appears that schedule has been changed when an official announcement has been made at Dengeki Bunko Autumn Festival that an animated movie has started and in progress.
It has been reported that TV anime of "Sword Art Online" season 3 is anticipated to focus on the "Underworld story arc wherein the characters are plunged into an AI simulation instead of an online game." It is reported further that the characters of the anime series would end up "in Renaissance themed world where they will be charged with building their own region using an advanced technology."
So far, the fans of "Sword Art Online" are not reacting violently of the comprehended delay. Perhaps, the reason for them not being agitated is that they are excited of the upcoming animated movie of "SAO."
Speaking of the "Sword Art Online" movie adaptation, there are only few details that have been circulating online. It is said that the animated movie will be penned by by Reki Kawahara. It will be directed by the creator of "SAO" Tomohiko Ito, while the characters will be designed by Shingo Adachi.
