Apple iPad Pro Release Date & Rumors: Tablet To Be Launched in November?

Rumor has it that Apple's iPad Pro will be launched in early November. The news comes after details of the upcoming tablet was leaked in a Japanese blog, Mac Otakara.

The blog claims to have spoken with some identified Chinese sources. Otakara said that these Chinese sources are said to be employees of Apple supply chains in China, a report from iDigital Times said on Friday.

"Those Chinese sources peg the iPad Pro's release date to be Friday, Nov. 6 specifically, which would make sense if the iPad Pro's release date follows Apple's typical release schedule that takes advantage of over the weekend sales. Apple still has the iPad Pro listed on their website as 'Available November,' which hasn't changed since their September 2015 event. An announcement should hopefully come soon, to take some of the bluster off Microsoft's announcement of the Surface Pro 4," according to the report.

Tech Radar reports that Apple's iPad Pro comes with a 12.9-inch display with a 2,732 x 2,048 resolution. The tablet's resolution is said to be capable of showing 5.6 million pixels. Inside the tablet is an A9X chip, which is Apple's third generation 64-bit chip. The new chip performs 1.5 times faster compared with the A8X chip.

Apple claims that the A9X chip will enhance the speed performance of the iPad Pro by 80 percent compared with all portable PCs available today in the market. According to Apple, the tablet's battery could last for 10 hours, and it weighs only 1.57 pounds. The tablet will be available in three colors, namely: gold, silver and space grey.

"The iPad Pro will start at $799 for the 32GB WI-FI only model, $949 for the 128GB WI-FI only model and $1,079 for the 128GB WI-FI+LTE model. The accessories for the iPad Pro will be priced at $99 for the Apple Pencil and $169 for the detachable Smart Keyboard, both sold separately," iDigital Times said.
