Dell XPS 13 Ultrabook Release Update: Core i5 Skylake, 4GB of RAM, Skylake Processor In November?

Dell's XPS 13 Ultrabook will be getting the 6th generation of Intel Skylake processors, a bigger SSD, additional RAM and more. Intel's current Skylake processors will be a big hit with the consumers and manufacturers and is expected to bring power to more system, which now includes XPS 13.

Dell's XPS 13 Ultrabook reports about the Dell site temporarily listing the XPS 13 with its upgraded specifications, yet has pulled said listing for now, Liliputing shared. However, the publication was able to get a glimpse of the current specs before the company's official announcement.

Dell XPS 13 shall boast remarkable developments under the hood, although the design remains virtually similar with the much-recommended Infinity Edge display, which is virtually no borders. Besides the Skylake processors, the ultrabook is reported to get the double amount of RAM with 16GB, and the current SSD choice of 1TB. The latest XPS 13 designs top out with 8GB of RAM and 256GB SSD.

Some additions have been reported to include a longer battery life, upgraded from 52 Wh up to 56 Wh, and USB port Type-C to go with two USB 3 ports.

Dell XPS 13 options for display are believed to have no changes, which means that the customers can choose between the options of standard, complete HD resolution or higher-end 3,200 x 1,800 touchscreen. Choosing a high-resolution touchscreen type with 1TB SSD and 16GB, the top configuration, will need quite a solid investment.

Dell XPS 13 details on availability and pricing that have not been confirmed yet, but the German site WinFuture, is claiming that the revived Dell XPS 13 will be in the market in November, beginning in €1,149 of its cheapest feature with Core i5 Skylake, a 128GB SSD, 4GB of RAM and complete HD, a non-touch display. That can be converted to $1,288 as based on the conversion rates, however, Dell XPS 13 will be expected to be cheaper in the U.S. than Europe.
