Android 6.0 Marshmallow will be rolled out for Samsung devices such as Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6 Edge+, and Galaxy Note 5.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow is a major software update to go down with Samsung. The Samsung Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6 Edge+, and Galaxy Note 5 are said to be getting the new OS since they are already with Android 5.1.1.

Samsung's latest handsets will be receiving the latest creation of Google, the Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The said devices included on the list are Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6 Edge+, and Galaxy Note 5. The Galaxy Note 4 may also receive an update, but no detail is available.

The Samsung models mentioned earlier are already sporting the latest Android 5.1.1. Lollipop versions, which is a pre-requisite of Marshmallow.  It is said that Marshmallow is all about performance and improvement.  No major feature was added because it is the second half of Lollipop.

Google's Nexus Event took place a few days ago and since then, fans have been gaining a lot more about the Android Marshmallow.  Now, for users, please do not expect that once Marshmallow is released, an update notification will be seen.  It will take weeks.

One advice for users is to watch out for the zip files and images that Google or Samsung will release. One needs to download and install it manually on the phone.

Google's Nexus event has already rolled off and finally, they have revealed Android 6.0 Marshmallow. This event also revealed the Nexus 2015 handsets called LG Nexus 5X and Huawei Nexus 6P, International Business Times reported.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow will come first for Nexus smartphones, Nexus 5, 6, 7 (2013), and Nexus 9 on Oct. 5. Nexus 4, 7 (2012) and 10, on the other hand, will be forever in the Andoid KitKat operating system.
