'Switched At Birth' Premiere Date & Spoilers: Alum Nyle DiMarco Joins 'America's Next Top Model' Cycle 22; Vanessa Marano Talks Bay’s Assault & Pregnancy?

"Switched at Birth" alum Nyle DiMarco will appear as a contestant on "America's Next Top Model (ANTM)" Cycle 22 this coming August 5. The deaf actor first appeared on the ABC Family series last year in the episode titled, "It Isn't What You Think." At that time, DiMarco played the role of Garrett.

According to Yibada, DiMarco's inclusion into "ANTM" will make him one of the most notable contestants in the reality modeling competition.

Meanwhile, the upcoming second season of "Switched at Birth" will feature a major twist in the lives of the Kennish's. According to multiple sources, one of the two lead stars of the series, Daphne (Katie Leclerc) or Bay (Vanessa Marano) could be pregnant.

There are speculations that the latter could be the one pregnant because of her recent affair. In an interview with Hollywood Life, Marano said that Bay will struggle through her recent assault. The actress added that fans of "Switched at Birth" will be surprised with the rape storyline because it will take center stage in the upcoming fifth season.

Leclerc, meanwhile, said that the Kennish family will be rocked by a shocking news about the said pregnancy and hinted that it's also possible that her character Daphne is the one who's pregnant.

In other news, Marano also talked about sexual assault as featured in the hit ABC Family series. "There's that old saying - there are three sides to every story: yours, mine and the truth... and it's up to the audience to kind of piece together what they think is right... no one is right. They're both in the wrong. It's a very gray area," she said.

Marano's character Bay was allegedly raped by her good friend Tank. According to the actress, if women are with their friends, it is important that they feel safe and won't be taken advantage of."

"Switch at Birth" Season 5 will premiere on ABC Family this coming August 24.
