"The Incredibles 2" was recently confirmed by director Brad Bird. Now Samuel L. Jackson, who lent his voice to Lucius Best or Frozone, also confirmed that he will be returning to the sequel.
In a recent interview, Jackson recounted the several instances where he ran into Bird and the latter told him that Frozone will once again be part of "The Incredibles" franchise.
"Every time I run into Brad, he always tells me Frozone is part of what's going in the sequel, so I have to believe that. I guess they could be 'The Incredibles' without Frozone, but I think Frozone would be a wonderful addition to what's already there," he said.
Jackson also teased about the youngest member of the Parr family, Jack Jack. The actor revealed that he's looking forward to what the character has turned into now that he's six years old. In "The Incredibles," Jack Jack was still an adorable baby who couldn't speak.
According to Cross Map, there are rumors that "The Incredibles 2" will focus on the Parr family, more specifically the youngest member. Jack Jack is now believed to be the strongest and smartest member of the group and someone will reportedly manipulate him on how to use his powers.
Meanwhile, Bird previously confirmed that he's currently working on the script for the upcoming Pixar movie. However, nothing has been finalized yet because his ideas are still all over the place.
In an interview with Collider, he said, "I have a lot of ideas for the original 'Incredibles' that I didn't get a chance to use, that I like. I have ideas that I wanted to pursue a little bit, and there wasn't enough time in 'Incredibles.' There are new ideas I have, and I think there are enough of those together to make an interesting movie."
"The Incredibles 2" is slated to hit theaters in the United States next year.
