Ricky Martin Pulls Out His Charity Event At Donald Trump’s Golf Course; Other Famous Personalities Dump Ties With The Business Tycoon?

Ricky Martin pulls out his charity event that will be held at the Trump International Golf Club in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico. Aside from the singer, the Latino community and other famous personalities are really mad at Donald Trump's derogatory comment against the Mexican people.

Perez Hilton reported that Ricky Martin tweeted his contempt towards the atrocious comment of the American magnate against the Mexican immigrants.

But he was not contented with what he posted. The singer has decided to pull out his charity golf competition. Donald Trump's Golf Club in Rio Grande was supposed to host the Ricky Martin Foundation charity golf tournament. Ricky Martin's spokesperson Helga Garcia relayed the decision of the Puerto Rican crooner. "The decision corresponds to the commitment of solidarity from our founding president to human rights and the Latino community," Helga said.

It is not only Ricky Martin that had expressed his opinion towards Trump. Refinery29 reported that Macy's shopper has dumped Trump's signature line of shirts and ties. According to Macy's Rep, the chain decided to cut off doing business with Donald Trump because of his racist remarks. The rep explained in an email released as a company statement saying that Macy's is a business that supports the advocacy of diversity and inclusion. "We do not believe [Trump's] disparaging characterizations portray an accurate picture of the many Mexicans, Mexican Americans and Latinos who have made so many valuable contributions to the success of our nation," the email said further.

In another report, The New Age Entertainment said that Mexico has quit from participating the Ms. Universe competition because of Trump's harangue. Venezuela has been weighing its participation of the said pageant which is co-owned by Trump.

NBC, who also co-owns Ms. Universe, is also reported to be severing its ties with Donald Trump. Mexican broadcaster Televisa also has expressed the same sentiment with NBC.
