New Jersey’s Famous Frank Sinatra House up for Sale Again, Now Listed for $2.9M

The famous Sinatra house on the Point Pleasant Beach boardwalk is back on the market for the third time, along with a new price tag.

The Sinatra House is now listed for $2,950,000, per its listing on Keller Williams Ocean Living. The property, which spans 3,648 square feet, was originally listed in September 2022 for $4.4 million. The listing was removed in March 2023 but was relisted in April for $3.3 million. The home went off the market for the second time in August 2023.

"In comparison with other properties on the beachfront and that are oceanfront, this is in line with recent sales. It actually comes across as a pretty good deal if you look at the square footage and other unique features the property has versus anything else in the area," James Ward, the listing agent from Keller Williams Ocean Living, said, as quoted by NJ.com.

"The price point wasn't based on anything else other than the fact that it was a famous property and it has unique physical features that make it stand out," he added.

History of the Sinatra House

Built in 1987, the home was owned by Paul R. Smith, who worked in the music industry for nearly four decades before retiring in 1999 as chairman of distribution for Sony Music.

Despite the home's name, Sinatra never lived on the property. Smith has also never worked with Sinatra. However, he loved Sinatra's music and would play the crooner's songs from speakers on his house's porch from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. daily during the summer months, earning the property's name the "Sinatra House."

"It was always great when we were sitting there on the porch and different generations of people would walk by and stop and dance," Susan Stinneford, Smith's daughter, told the outlet. "They would always say what great music it was. It didn't matter if they were old or young."

Smith passed away in 2002. The home is now being sold by his four children, including Susan.

The property features eight bedrooms and four bathrooms. It also features an open-concept main floor and a parking space for at least 10 cars.
