Kimora Lee Simmons and Tim Leissner Buy $19 Million New York City Home

Kimora Lee Simmons, the "Baby Phat" urban fashion house founder, and her hedge fund husband Tim Leissner have reportedly purchased a $19 million family home in New York City.

The New York Post broke the news of the purchase noting that the condo is located in the Marquand building at 11 East 68th Street.

News of the purchase comes just months after Lee secretly wed Leissner. Though the couple never officially announced they got hitched, the fashion designer's ex-husband Russell Simmons took to twitter to banish all rumors about her love life, reports The New York Daily News.

"All of us love @OfficialKimora but the fact is she is happily married. Tim has been family for a while now. #gossipcop....," he tweeted in February.

Lee and Leissner had been spotted vacationing together earlier this year and there were rumors that she was dating him. But there is no news on when they got together or even got married exactly.

However, as Russell said - Lee and Leissner are now happily married and have settled down in a quaint 4,654-square-feet condo that has five bedrooms and five and a half bathrooms.

The home seems to be perfect for Lee and her kids. Floor plans at Streeteasy show that an elevator directly opens into the large foyer of the house. A narrow gallery to the right leads to the open-plan dining and living area. There is a separate dining room, a modern kitchen with custom cabinetry and a bedroom just adjacent to the dining room.

The other three bedrooms are to the left of the foyer, two behind and one in the front. The extreme left is dedicated to the master wing that has two huge dressing rooms. All the bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms.

Interiors of the home, which was listed with Madeline Hult Elghanayan and Sabrina Saltiel of Douglas Elliman, show hardwood carpeted flooring, coffered and drywall ceilings and an open plan that gives easy access to all rooms.

Building amenities include 24/7 concierge and doorman services. There is a kids lounge, a fitness center and available parking as well.

In January this year, some tabloids reported that Simmons was looking to buy Guess Co-founder, Armand Marciano's home in Beverly Crest. While there has been no word on what became of the deal, take a look at the property here.
