'Mortal Kombat X' Pack 2 DLC Updates: 4 New Characters and Release Date Revealed

This year, many fans of the fighting video game Mortal Kombat X were delighted to receive numerous DLC's from the game developers.

With the current Mortal Kombat X release, players can both play characters from the games predecessor versions and some fictional character from other games such as Predator. And the players will even get to play more characters as sometime in 2016, according to Gospel Herald, another DLC will be released and this DLC will bring more playable icons in the fighting game. So now the question is who will the new Mortal Kombat Casts be?

The makers of Mortal Kombat still seems tight lipped on the new characters and the only clue ever dropped was one shared via Twitter by Mortal Kombat Co-creator and NetherRealm Studios Creative Director Ed Boon. According to the Vine Report, the said Twitter teaser featured 4 silhouttes and a wording that says, "Who's Next?"

According to Gospel Herald, many fans believe that the four new character that would be most likely added with the "Kombat Pack 2 DLC", as fans call it, will come from another franchise since Freddy Kruger and the Predator have already been added previously as playable characters. There is a word from Comic Book saying that Todd McFarlane gave NetherRealm his permission to use Spawn in Mortal Kombat X but Spawn does not seem to be in the silhouette that Vine Report had shared. Some are speculating that it could be the Joker.

Currently what is only certain is that it won't be Superman or Batman as Ed Boon has said in an interview with Polygon, I'd be hard-pressed to have a DC character as a downloadable character in Mortal Kombat X. The main reason is, I have no desire to cut Batman's head off. I have no desire to kill Superman."

The four silhouettes are not easy to name, fans would have to wait for further announcement from the Mortal Kombat Creators. The DLC is believed to be released sometime in 2016.
