'The Young and the Restless' News, Cast, Spoilers: Sean Carrigan Exits Show?

"The Young and the Restless" actor Sean Carrigan who plays the role of Dr. Ben "Stitch" Rayburn is rumored to leave the show since his character lacks a compelling story line and merely appears as a filler rather than a main focus, Celeb Dirty Laundry reported.

Stitch might be leaving "The Young and the Restless" as his contract ends next month but it wasn't confirmed nor denied by CBS.

The role of Stitch has been part of the soap opera for around six months. Last year, the actor renewed his contract to continue his role for the paternity issue of Victoria's newborn baby daughter. When it was determined that Katie’s father was Billy Abbott (Burgess Jenkins), things became different for Stitch. His character no longer gave a huge impact to the show and became almost irrelevant, as many viewers have observed.

Months ago, reports reveal that Stitch might be killed in November in an explosion that will happen during the Newman Ball. It was teased by Chuck Pratt Jr. that an explosion is going to occur during the Newman Gala saying, "At least four people will die, with one being a key contract character." It is expected that one of the characters will die because of saving a main character, Christian Post reported.

Rumors of Stitch's exit from the show increase the speculation of the fans that Pratt's statement referred to him. Since Stitch is a fan favorite, many are upset of his alleged leaving. Some of them are still hoping that Stitch will get the spotlight in the future. Many are speculating that Stitch could die a hero by saving one of the Newman but there is still a possibility that Stitch will renew his contract and stay with the show.

But Carrigan as Stitch is still currently part of "The Young and the Restless" which airs every weekday at CBS.
