'Pokémon GO' Update: Bluetooth Wristband Alerts Players for Nearby Pokemon Activities; Real-Time Playing is On!

"Pokémon GO" is the name of the new mobile game being developed by Nintendo and the Pokémon.  It is a location-based game, which means that a player will be catching for a Pokémon in real and actual places.

"Pokémon GO" game will be using GPS technology as well. This is being handled by Niantic Labs, under the Alphabet Company (formerly Google).  They are the creator of another augmented-reality game called "Ingress."

"Pokémon GO" objective is to find a Pokémon, train them, so they can be ready to do battle with other Pokémon in your community, like streets, and parks.  Players can trade them, as well with other "Pokémon GO" players.  All these through their smartphones.

Tsunekazu Ishihara, the Pokémon Company president, made the announcement during a press conference, ""Pokémon Go" was inspired by the multiplayer and location-based nature of the game, "Ingress." Our challenge was to develop a great game for smartphone devices that expressed the core values of Pokémon. Pokémon GO is the answer to that challenge," according to an article by Venturebeat.

Ishihara also added that the late Nintendo president, Satoru Iwata, was a part in conceptualizing their entry to the mobile gaming arena.   To understand fully the concept of the new "Pokémon GO," gamers is encouraged to visit one can visit The Pokémon Company's official YouTube page to see the trailer for the new mobile game.

"Pokémon GO" game will come with a Bluetooth wristband device called Pokémon Go Plus which can be purchased separately and can alert players of nearby activities or Pokémon within their vicinity.  LED lights and vibration can alert the players of such activities, as well as catch the Pokémon by pressing a button.  The device is not a required to play the game, but it can reduce significantly the amount of time that a player needs to stare on their mobile phones.

"Pokémon GO" will be compatible for iOS and Android mobile OS and is will be launched by 2016.
