Tom Cruise is giving up his house to live at the Church of Scientology at Saint Hill Manor. According to the Daily Mail, the Church of Scientology used to be home of founder L. Ron Hubbard.

The actor's move to the property is aimed at making the location a landmark. He also wants to live much closer to his daughter Isabella who is currently residing in London.

Meanwhile, the publication clarified that not everyone is given the chance to live inside the church because being able to do so is considered a religious honor. At present, Cruise is selling his five-bedroom, five-bathroom house not very far away from the location of the Church of Scientology.

According to Elle Décor, Hubbard first acquired the property back in 1959 and it served as his home and the main headquarters for the religion until 1967. Back in 2011, the property was renovated to commemorate Hubbard's 100th birthday.

Also known as "The Castle," the Church of Scientology headquarters houses executive offices, dining rooms, auditing rooms and spaces for religious studies. There are also some talks for the building of a spa, a gymnasium and a high-end restaurant on the site.

A source told The Daily Mail, "Tom is relocating to England and uses the Scientology manor as his base. It's the highest recognition to live where L. Ron Hubbard did, and Miscavige clearly believes giving Tom this access will keep his faith in the Church for decades to come. It's worked a charm because Tom is more dedicated to Scientology than ever before. He's investing a lot of his own money back into the UK Church and secretly the talk is how they want to be as influential as the Royal family."

As of late, Cruise has not yet opened up about his upcoming move.
