"How to Get Away With Murder" Season 2 will reveal new details about Annalise Keating (Viola Davis) and her true relationship with Wes (Alfred Enoch).

In the fall finale episode, it was revealed that Annalise and Eve (Famke Janssen) have always known who Wes was. As a child, Wes was called Christophe, and he allegedly witnessed his mom's murder.

However, fans are wondering whether or not this is a real story or one that Annalise and Eve are only leading everyone on.

According to iDigital Times, it's possible that there's more to Annalise and Wes' relationship. The publication claimed that Annalise could be Wes' aunt, his mom's sister. There are also rumors that Annalise may be the one responsible for killing Wes' mother without his knowledge.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Pete Nowalk said, "There's a lot to read into there. We're going to take some time to tell that story, so I don't want to give away anything. You can analyze that scene, what her expression was, what Eve's doing there, what Wes is saying to the FBI agent. I think there's a lot of information there, but there's a mystery for a reason," he said.

Meanwhile, Nowalk confirmed that Wes and Annalise will have an awkward relationship when the series returns to ABC next year.

"It's a mess between them. It changes everything. They've always had a very difficult relationship, but I don't see how they recover from this. They both have a lot to recover from. That's going to be hard for them when we come back," he explained.

In other news, Nowalk recently confirmed that when the series returns for the second half of Season 2, one of the members of the Keating Five will be missing.

"How to Get Away With Murder" Season 2 will return to ABC on Feb. 11, 2016 at 10 p.m. ET.
