The 73rd Annual Golden Globe Awards announced nominations on Thursday morning. Starz's Outlander is on top as TV's most recognized programs that collected a total of three nods.

FX's Fargo, USA Network's Mr. Robot, Amazon's Transparent, ABC's American Crime, and BBC Two's Wolf Hall also each got three nods.

Netflix is the one that got the biggest award with eight total nominations, followed with seven by HBO and six by Starz. According to TV Line report,  "American Horror Story: Hotel" star Lady Gaga and "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" star Rachel Bloom are among the first-time Globe nominees.

NBC will broadcast the Golden Globes on Sunday, Jan. 10, 2016 and will be hosted for the fifth time by Ricky Gervais.

Every December, the Golden Globes announce nominations for the most recognized TV programs. "Showtime's The Affair" was the big winner last year on the drama side, with both Best Drama and Best Actress for Ruth Wilson. This year the show and Ruth Wilson were not nominated anymore.

The nominations for the73rd annual Golden Globe Awards were announced Thursday, but have some surprising inclusions, which is either a pointed look for a peculiar taste of Golden Globes or a result of too much television. The nominations for best drama series include Empire, Game of Thrones, Mr. Robot, Outlander, and Narcos, as reported by TV news.

The year-end top 10 lists for drama nominations have been released by many critics, and of the five nominations for Golden Globes, Mr. Robot is the only one seen consistently on the list. For comedy, the theory of Cory about streaming services for new comedies that get some validation are four of the six nominees - Transparent, Casual, Mozart in the Jungle, and Orange Is the New Black - available only through Wi-Fi and Ethernet cables.
