American comedian and actor Jack Carter's Beverly Hills mansion has been listed for $5.825 million. It was said that Carter's mansion was built in 1926 and it was described as a Spanish-style residence that sits on a third-acre lot tucked behind the wall, a report from Los Angeles Times said on Wednesday.

Carter's luxurious residence has "a swimming pool, detached garage, motor court, mature trees and lawn complete the grounds." It was said that the residence was previously sold for $80,000 back in 1977 and was listed this year for $5.995 million.

"Original details are evident outside and in. Colorful tile risers adorn the foyer stairway, which features an ornate wrought-iron banister. Beamed ceilings and arched doorways continue the style throughout the home. A high-ceiling living room with a brick fireplace, formal dining room, six bedrooms and five bathrooms are with the 4,494 square feet of living space. A bay window in the breakfast room looks out onto the backyard," the report said.

Carter's palatial property is being handled by Baron Steinbrecher as the listing agent. Adam Sires and Jill Epstein of the Nourmand & Associates represented the buyer.

"Jack Chakrin known by his professional name of Jack Carter, is an American comedian, actor and host. Brooklyn-born Carter had a long-running comedy act similar to fellow rapid-paced contemporaries, Milton Berle and Morey Amsterdam. Carter is, arguably, the most prolific stand-up comedian in American television history," according to Richest Celebrities.

Carter died this year at the age of 93. He hosted several TV variety shows such as the "Cavalcade of Stars." In 2014, he appeared in the television series "Shameless" and in Stephen King Tale's movie "Mercy." He also received several nominations like the "Daytime" Emmy Award for Outstanding Actor In A "Daytime Drama Special."
