After the success of "Creed" in the box office last Thanksgiving weekend, Michael B. Jordan expressed his interest in making a sequel.

According to dailymail.co.uk, Jordan gladly thought of the possibility of "Creed 2" after the people warmly welcomed the new chapter in Rocky Balboa's boxing career during the 5- day Thanksgiving holiday.

Jordan said "A character so rich as this, and the world he's in, I want to see what happens to him next and what he does. Especially the way it ends off, it's pretty cool. I think with success and time and circumstances, it would be exciting to come back and work with [co-stars] Sly [Stallone] and Tessa [Thompson] again."

"Creed" director Ryan Coogler shared that his passion for making the new Balboa is quite personal. He shared that he got insured in making the film due to his father's love for Rocky's films and "constantly played them for his sons while they were growing up."

In turn, Stallone agreed on the new project because of Coogler's passion. Stallone said "It was a huge leap of faith. Either you let Rocky go out into the sunset or you believe in youth and a young kid's ambition, and I thought I've been wrong so many times in my life, I don't want to be wrong again."

The "Creed" follows the story of Rocky Balboa as a trainer for a rising boxing star, Adonis Creed which is being played by Jordan.

The original Rocky film was written and directed by Stallone himself and became an icon during 1976. The film won an Academy Award for Best Picture and Best Director. The film also brought an Oscar nomination for Stallone on his Rocky character.

Producer Charles Winkler said during an interview about the possible Oscar nomination for Stallone that "Just from the trailer, it seems to be the best work he's ever done. He hits it out of the park, and if there's a vote, I'll be voting for him. The talk has happened without us having to boost it at all, and deservedly so. We know Sylvester Stallone as an action star, but we forget he started as a character actor."

According to mlive.com, "Creed" is the seventh film of the "Rocky" franchise. Director Coogler did an amazing job as the film didn't feel like a "repetition, but reinvention."

The hard work of "Creed" production team paid off as it turned out to be a crowd favorite and get people to want for more "Rocky Balboa" films.
