With the recently released Redmi Note 3 it is clear that it is going to be in a direct competition with another Chinese manufactured phone, the Oneplus X.  There is no doubt that the Redmi Note 3 is very aesthetic, but, how will it compare to the sleeker OnePlus X.

Display

The Redmi Note 3 from Xiaomi comes in a 5.5-inch IPS LCD screen measuring and offers a 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution and gives a 403 pixels per inch density.  The smaller 5.0-inch OnePlus X comes with an AMOLED screen, same resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels but a higher density, 441 pixels per inch.

Design

The Note 3 comes with an aluminum unibody and curved edges which makes it very pleasing to the eyes.  It also comes equipped with a fingerprint scanner on its back panel and boast that it can unlock the phone in under 0.03 seconds, but, it is bigger and heavier than the OnePlus.   It is also comes in three colors: silver, gold and gray, as GSM Arena reported.  However, the OnePlus comes only with a metal frame and the back panel comes is either glass or ceramic.  Black is only the color that is available and contains no fingerprint scanner.

Specs

The processor for the Redmi is an octa-core Mediatek Helio X10 chipset and also comes with a PowerVR G6200 GPU.  The OnePlus X is equipped with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset and an Adreno 330 GPU for the extra punch.

Memory

Both devices can support an external storage of up to 128GB.  The Redmi Note 3 has two variants, 2GB or 3GB of RAM while the OnePlus offers a 3GB of RAM.

Price

The Note 3 will start at $140 while the Onyx version of the OnePlus X is priced at $250.
