The writers of the show "Mr. Robot" are now working on the storyline for season 2 and series creator Sam Esmail teased on what fans would expect on the new season.

According to KPop Starz, fans are wondering if Elliot, played by Rami Malek will be finding vengeance for the death of his girlfriend Shayla (Frankie Shaw).  In an interview, Esmail revealed that the writers are currently considering that idea when he was asked as to whether Elliot will be facing the drug lord Fernando Vera (Elliot Villar). He added that fans should be able to anticipate how Mr. Robot (Christian Slater) who is a figment in Elliot's mind will be able to talk to other people in his son's life. Esmail noted that that is one of the things season 2 will look into.

Venture Capital Post reported that the writers are already starting to work on the storyline for "Mr. Robot" season 2. Esmail did not reveal more on the storyline for the sophomore season of the show but he revealed that he is still open for suggestions.

Esmail also praised Malek for playing the role of Elliot and he revealed how he came across the actor and how he landed for the role. Esmail said that during the audition for the role Malek comes in the room and he instantly felt warmth and it changed everything for him. He added that Malek seems to add vulnerability for Elliot and he imagined how Malek would be perfect for the role.

Meanwhile, it was reported that while waiting for season 2 to begin, "Mr. Robot" season 1 will be airing on the network starting December 29.

As of writing there is still no official news when "Mr. Robot" season 2 will premiere but it is expected to make its return sometime in 2016.
