The recent update of "Deadpool" movie reveals of Colossus being featured of the film. Andre Tricoteux is casted for the role of the metal-skinned mutant.

Comic Book Resources reports that Daniel Cudmore will no longer portray the role of Colossus. The Canadian actor will be replaced by Andre Tricoteux.

In his recent interview with Tech Times, Andre Tricoteux has shared his thoughts about his new version of Colossus in the movie "Deadpool." According to him, his role as metal-skinned mutant or Piotr Rasputin in a human form will stay true to its source material. "The Colossus you're going to see in 'Deadpool' is very true to the original character in the comic book. [Director] Tim Miller had a really clear vision, and the 'Deadpool' people had a really clear vision of what they wanted. They wanted Colossus to be very traditional to the original story," Andre Tricoteux said.

"Deadpool" has already progressed in its development in making the film as reported by Cinema Blend. The titular character is not the only one who gets a remake in the said film. Ryan Reynolds will not be the only one that goes back to basics as far as the comic character is concerned. Andre Tricoteux said that fans would see Piotr Rasputin as a metal-skinned mutant as he is, the traditional version so to speak.

In "Deadpool" movie, there's a lot of things that would be revealed about Colossus' character, which are not exposed in previous films of "X-Men." This powerful mutant "has been around in the comics since the '70s, so I mean, I think you could do your own movie on him. Yeah, you're going to get to see a little bit more of who he is and kind of his outlook on the world," Cinema Blend added.

It looks like the conflict in "Deadpool" is focused on metal-skinned mutant Colossus and the titular lead character of the film. This is probably the reason why fans would learn a lot from this mutant villain in the movie.
