"Minecraft" has been widely available in almost every platform known to man, except for Nintendo Wii U. Though things are getting better now, Nintendo may not be exempted after all.

"Minecraft: Story Mode" will soon be ported to Wii U, the first for a Nintendo gaming system. Many Nintendo and Minecraft fans have been waiting for this in quite a while. Their hopes actually died down when Mojang was acquired by Microsoft, but the game developer has said before that they were interested in doing a version for the Nintendo platform and that it was not impossible, iDigital Times reported.

"Minecraft: Story Mode" is not the full version of Minecraft, but everything that looks like Minecraft was built on a Minecraft engine. So, if the "Story Mode" will soon be available to Wii U, sooner or later, the full version of the game can also be ported to the Nintendo platform, Nintendo Life reported.

Telltale Games, the developer of "Minecraft: Story Mode", also stated that they are currently doing a lot of work in order to accommodate all the players of Minecraft for all platforms, and the Nintendo Wii U version is coming out late because they are still working on the game engine that can support the device, revealed the report.

So far, it seems that "Minecraft" and Nintendo Wii U fans are willing to wait for a little more time before they can get their hands on the "Story Mode." Once the story mode is done, sooner or later, the full mode of Minecraft will be available next. Fans are hoping that it is not too hard to port the game to their favorite console.

"Minecraft: Story Mode" has no release date yet. Since the game seems a perfect match for the Nintendo system, everybody is hoping that it will be really soon.
