"The Flash" Season 2 newly released trailer offers first sneak preview at Zoom. Aside from the new video clip, The CW together with DC Entertainment has also revealed that Iris West's mom will make her appearance in the upcoming season.

The recent report of Tech Times says that The CW's "The Flash" season 2 new promotional trailer gives fans a treat to check on Zoom. It has been previously revealed that Zoom will be the next principal enemy of Barry Allen. Zoom is known being the villain in DC's comic book universe, in fact he is listed in the "top 100 comic book villains of all time."

In an early announcement of The CW, it was mentioned that Tony Todd will do the role of Zoom. However, it had been noted that Todd had never been spotted during the production of the season. Thus, it is safe to assumed that it could be anybody who is behind the mask. It seems that his identity is kept under wraps. The executive producer of "The Flash" Andrew Kreisberg said that they have to service the entire audience regardless whether they are fans of the show or not. "I think we've shown up until this point a great deal of respect and reverence for the source material, so that we always feel like we're fulfilling the comic book fans' expectations while also not spoon-feeding them stuff directly from the comics," Kreisberg said in the interview. He also hoped that Zoom's story would make the comic book fans happy since the studio had come up with a "clever way to spin the tale." The executive producer also promised that even those who are not familiar with Zoom, they would be excited and would still enjoy the second season of the number 1 superhero of Central City.

On a different note, Variety says that "Candyman" and "Melrose Place" star Vanessa Williams- not the actress crowned as Ms. America in 1983-, is casted as the mother of Iris West in the second season of "The Flash." The studio has not given additional information on what specific episode Mama West will have her debut appearance in. However, it has been promised that the upcoming season will delve more about the West family.

Moving on, Comic Book says that in the upcoming season of "The Flash," after Barry defeated Eobard Thawne, the team would quickly shift their "attention to the singularity swirling high above Central City, which fans last saw consuming everything in its path. Armed with the heart of a hero and the ability to move at super speeds, Barry charged into the eye of the singularity." But the question is, would Barry be able to save Central City from the Black Hole?
