A spectacular, fully submersible island has been released by the prominent engineers and designers from Migaloo Private Submersible Yachts, according to Forbes.

Migaloo services international shipyards and private yacht owners worldwide. It was founded by specialists who have years of experience in yachting. As a result of increasing demand for personalized yachts, they come up with the idea of building large private submarines and floating islands as an alternative to floating vessels. Thus a submersible island is born.

This submersible island will be known as Kokomo Island which will be launched at the Monaco Yacht Show. It has an overall length of 117 meters, a beam of 78 meters and draught of 20.5. The island is said to be customizable to the taste in size, shape and features of the customer.

It is said to have various designs. There are those that showcase an impressive penthouse for the owner that is 80 meters above sea level to include a jungle deck containing palm trees and vertical gardens. There will also be a beach deck that will feature a swimming pool and amenities like outdoor dining at a garden deck, large pools and waterfalls and up to two beach clubs. There is also an underwater dining saloon and large storage for toys.

Furthermore, Forbes said that aside from the submersible island, Migaloo Private Submersible Yachts will also showcase the largest in the world 738-foot private submarine. Inspired by modern Zumwalt-class destroyers, the submarine will have a speed of 40 knots on the surface and 20 knots below water.

The private submarine and the private island are said to be the first alternative to gigantic yachts with the usual amenities of the common yacht but a bonus of being able to submerge the whole vessel when the owner and guests want to keep their privacy during travel or at an anchor.
