"Frozen 2" has been confirmed by Disney earlier this year that it is officially happening. With the success of the first film, fans are excited about the release of the upcoming sequel with speculations on what adventures Anna and Elsa would see on their return. Earlier this August, the directors of the movie finally spilled some details about "Frozen 2."

According to the post of Ecumenical News, "Frozen" was premiered in 2013 and  it was a 3D animated film inspired by "The Snow Queen,'' a fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen. The movie earned more than $1 billion worldwide and has since been Walt Disney Pictures' highest grossing release of all time. The film has also spawned a Broadway production, a short film, a theme park, and several videogame adaptations.

The film's directors, Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee, have given hints on what fans can expect on the upcoming sequel. "I think we're very aware of what is happening in society. I don't think any of us take [them] lightly, even though they can be very funny and entertaining, the messages that our movies have and the influence they can have on young people. When the kids [watch] them, they watch them over and over again, and if we don't have a decent message in there, I think we've missed an opportunity," said Buck.

According to the report of Slash Film, when Walt Disney Pictures finally announced development on "Frozen 2" earlier this year, the directors Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee have started emitting a few hints. They suggest among other things that we'll see a different side of Elsa, who underwent an intense emotional arc in the first "Frozen."

On the upcoming sequel, while we'll be seeing Elsa in a different light, movie fanatics will also be seeing much more of Anna as well. Buck promised in a conversation with MTV News that both sisters and their tight bond will be at the center of the next film.
