Vanessa Williams wowed not just the guests but most importantly her husband, with her wedding gowns made by Carmen Marc Valvo. Williams has tied the knot with businessman fiancé Jim Skrip on July 4 in Buffalo, New York.

Style News revealed that Vanessa Williams didn't settle for a conventional gown but rather donned two different wedding gowns by Carmen Marc Valvo.

Williams chose to wear first a "very silky and streamlined skirt and top combination" accented with a band of gold around the waist. Vanessa told PEOPLE, in an exclusive interview, that the gowns were magnificent. "I felt like an Egyptian goddess, and that was exactly the theme I was going for," she added.

Her husband, who was with her during the interview with People Magazine, said that when he saw Vanessa walking down the aisle, he was not aware of what she was wearing because they locked eyes and he got caught in the moment and was filled with joy and happiness. "When I finally noticed the dress, it was perfect for Vanessa: sleek, simple, and sexy," he revealed. He also said that Vanessa surprised him when she changed her gown for the vows ceremony, which he admitted she looked stunning in.

The magnificent wedding was also reported by ET Online. According to the online magazine, the wedding, though obviously a lavish one, was also an intimate celebration with family and friends. Since the wedding happened on July 4, the wedding had Fourth of July-themed sparklers. It was also reported that the newlyweds used the white Rolls Royce going to the reception.

CNN recalled that Vanessa announced her engagement with her long time beau Jim Skrip in September at Queen Latifah Show. The former Miss America said that she met her husband in 2013 when they were both on a Nile cruise. She admitted that she approached Skrip and asked him if he's from Buffalo because Jim was wearing a Buffalo Sabres shirt. From that simple introduction, the newlyweds took it from there and got along very well.
