Floyd Mayweather vs Manny Pacquiao: Boxer Buys $370,000 Rare Supercar, PacMan Fight Confirmed by Arum

Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao have made headlines as the world waits in wonder if a superfight between the two champions will happen this May.

Ourside of the boxing ring, Mayweather, 37, continues to cause a buzz following reports that the undefeated boxing champion dropped $370,000 on a rare supercar.

According to TMZ, the wealthy athlete purchased a 2015 McLaren 650S Spider, an extremely rare car that was hand-built in England. The site continues to note that the hefty price tag offers Spider owners with a top-of-the-line ride that boasts a top speed of 204 mph and a 2.9 second acceleration from 0-60.

A source close to the boxer says Mayweather's new ride was delivered to his LA home the previous week through a purchase through Floyd's truted car contact, Obi Okeke at Fusion Luxury Motors in Van Nuys, Ca.

The news of the new purchase comes after the American champ, nicknamed "Money," recently showed off his extensive car collection over Instagram.

Although he's pretty known for displaying his extravagant lifestyle, earlier this month, Floyd posted a photo of himself with his private jet and Private jets and cars.

Three weeks ago he posted a photo of his new cars, a Bugatti Grand Sport Chassis 088 Matte White, Bugatti Veyron Chassis 116 White Over Soft Silver, and Bugatti Veyron Chassis 101 Black Metallic/Red Metallic totaling $6.2 million.

More Money Coming In

Floyd is estimated to be worth about $300 million and should a face-off with Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao push through on May 2, Mayweather will hit a payday that will allow him to bring home more of those cars he loves.

According to ESPN, Top Rank promoter Bob Arum said to the New York Post that the fight should be finalized within "the next couple of days."

"Everybody is doing the right thing," said Arum to the Post on Friday. "We're looking to complete the paperwork. Everything is moving in the right direction. Hopefully, the next couple of days it will get done."

Mayweather Jr. Carries an unbeaten record of 47-0 while Pacquiao's record has been pretty impressive as well. At 57-5-2, Pacquiao is the only eight-division world champion.

The fight -- which has been dangled in the public for over 6 years -- is being arranged to take place on May 2 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Floyd has previously said he will be fighting on May 2 but it remains to be seen who he will be facing.
