'Star Wars 7' Release Date & New Trailer: 'Intriguing' Teaser Revealed to George Lucas

Just as the excitement of "Star Wars" fans continue to flourish as the release of the film is bordering onwards, the movie's iconic conceptualizer, George Lucas, said he also cannot hold his excitement any longer.

It was previously reported that Lucas had not watched the trailer and did not even show signs of thrill at all. Nevertheless, the big time Hollywood director finally gave in to his feelings and admitted that he watched the "Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens" trailer.

The New York Post asked Lucas about his thoughts on the trailer, and the director responded: "I saw the trailer. I saw it in a theater because I don't watch movies online... Yeah, it was intriguing."

The word "intriguing" may only confirm some rumors about the film, especially leaked spoilers of the highly anticipated trailer. The original trilogy, which was initially reported to be ridded out in the trailer, was actually included. Slashfilm reports that the trailer would include footage of Han, Luke, Leia, and Chewbacca."

Also, there are hearsays that declare a female stormtrooper will appear in the film. Cinemablend shares that "certain glass ceiling within the ranks of the Empire will be shattered with the notoriously inaccurate marksmanship of a Stormtrooper blast." Well, this is news to ponder upon. Who would have imagined that a female character would go nearly head and shoulders over main stars of the film.

Lizo Mzimba, a BBC journalist, confirms on his Twitter account that an actress named Amybeth Hargreaves will be playing the role of a Stormtrooper in "Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens." However, there is no confirmation as to whether the actress will play as a double or something else. That is still in question.

Meanwhile, Lucas, who admitted that he watched the film trailer and found it intriguing, also said that he's "retired" concerning the teaser and how the film would surface eventually. Screencrush observed that the director "seems to be distancing himself from his wildly popular franchise."

And as to rumors that the famous trilogy will appear no more in "Star Wars 7" owing to the stories that it did not appear in the initial trailer, reports say that as "The Force Awakens" releases its second trailer on May 1, together with the debut of "Avengers: Age of Ultron", the trilogy of Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, and Harrison ford, will surely be there.

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" is set to hit theaters on December 18, 2015.
