Ricky Martin Dead in Car Accident? Hollywood Singer Tweets From Heaven

Fans of Hollywood singer Ricky Martin may have prematurely mourned over his alleged death after news stormed the web that the "La Vida Loca" superstar died in a tragic car accident on a New Year.

The terror all started with a YouTube video titled "Ricky Martin dead in tragic accident New Years day", which shows a ghastly car accident of what appears to be a man being thrown outside his car. People then started to question whether the video was real and if indeed Ricky Martin is dead.

According to The Inquisitr, "the YouTube video contains a description that would lead fans to believe Martin was unfortunately killed in a car crash." The video contains graphic images that would reduce anyone to shock and tears.

The Inquisitr further reports that the YouTube account named "Shocking and Upcoming" acted as proving to Ricky Martin's demise by putting up a description that says: "Report says: Multi-platinum artist Enrique Martin Morales, known by the stage name Ricky Martin died at 4:30 pm eastern time while driving his BMW CONVERTIBLE CAR on a freeway in Los Angeles, CA."

The video has raked 175,000 views in less than a day.

However, the singer's supposed passing did not last for long and proved anti-climactic to the hoax guys. On his official Twitter account, Martin disproved the hoax and that everything is contrived. In response, he tweeted:

"Hello from #heaven."

The Latino singer remains funny and cool despite the disrespectful ruse.

And to completely wind down the speculations, he posted an Instagram photo captioned "#Sunset in #heaven", that shows the singer atop a cliff by the beach while savoring the beauty of a setting sun. It seems to prove that the star is very much alive and enjoying his time outside the studios and concerts.

Washington Post also posted an article ending the hoax on the singer's alleged death. The article features a photo tweeted by Martin as a complement to his "Hello from #heaven" tweet. The photo was presumed by some to be somewhere in Culebra, Puerto Rico, according to Washington Post.

And on a positive note, the singer, who is still living up to this moment, will release his first studio album after several years of being idle from recordings. According to Travelers Today, the album will be titled "A Quien Quiera Escuchar" which is "To Whoever Wants to Listen" in English.

Martin told Straits Times, "We're going to have a very interesting year full of music, partying and romantic times."

To fans, hold up those tears just yet, Ricky Martin is still alive.
