LG G4 Release Date Set for Summer 2015? Specs, Price & Rumors!

It seems that Korean tech giant LG has a new star arriving soon. Less than a year since the unveiling of the LG G3 smartphone, rumors are already buzzing that the G4 is coming next in May 2015.

Considered one of the best smartphones to come out in 2014, the G3 enjoyed prominence in the world of Android lovers for its huge screen, resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. With these in mind, it's hard to imagine how LG plans to top it out with the launch of the G4. While the company has yet to confirm the rumors, talks of the possible specifications and features of the upcoming G4 have already been going around.

If it plans to go beyond the market's reception of the G3, the G4 may pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801, 802, 805 or 808 processor. The Octa Core processor might run with a 3 GHz speed, according to The REM

Meanwhile, Christian Today, reported that the new device might include a 3 or 4 GB RAM and a minimal internal storage memory of 32 or 64 GB. The storage may be expanded up to 128 GB with the use of a microSD card as with the G3.

The new G4 may also come with a bigger screen of 5.7 inches as opposed to its predecessor's 5.5 inches. It is also purported to sport HD IPS/LCD display for better viewing experience.

With this change, many believe that resolution would also be better at 3840 x 2160 pixels. Aside from that, the handset's camera may also be upgraded to anything between 15 to 17MP for the rear and 3 to 4MP for the front camera. Either way, it would be a huge improvement from the G3's 13MP back-cam and 2.1MP front-cam.

The new G4 is also looking at having a longer battery life as reports say that the company is considering a battery between 3500 and 4000 mAh.

The next-generation handset by LG might come with an aluminum-body as talks have began that the electronics company is aiming to contend it against rival Samsung's Galaxy A line.

Other than that, a possible stylus pen is also being considered for the G4. A report by Phandroid said the Korean firm has already filed a trademark for the "LG G Pen" name, which left many believing that the stylus pen would see a comeback on the upcoming G4.

While all these remain only rumors for the meantime, reports have already pegged a possible $650 to $700 price for the new smartphone. Regardless of what the G4 may look like in the end, the upcoming phone is sure to take the android phone in a storm if it launches next year.
