Kourtney Kardashian Baby No. 3 Name Finally Revealed! Plus See First Photo

Seven days after Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick's third baby was born, the excited parents have finally revealed the name of their new boy. Named Reign Aston Disick, the reality TV star made the announcement via Instagram along with a photo of her holding her newborn's hand.

The public was left guessing after the couple took days to reveal third baby's name. Rumors abound that the third-time parents wanted their baby's name to be personal to them.

In a report by Hollywood Life, a source close to the family said the couple "really want to honor their fathers and have talked very strongly on Jeffrey Robert." Both Kourtney and Scott's fathers have passed away and it seems that the two wanted to honor their dads through the baby's name.

The source added, "Scott really wants that more than Kourtney. Kourtney actually wants a more unique first name but may compromise and have Jeffrey as the middle name to make Scott happy as well."

However, now that the new baby's name is revealed, it seems that the decision was made to follow in the footsteps of his father, Scott. Reign is another term for a ruler in the English language and dad Scott has taken to calling himself "Lord" in their show, "Keeping Up With The Kardashians."

The father of three adopted the word after buying a title online while in England, according to Radar Online. But while their third child's name seems to be very royal, choosing such name was said to be not drama-free for the couple.

Hollywood Life, in another piece, reported that both Kourtney and Scott fought over the name. The mother of three wanted to have more control in naming their baby as she "is very upset with Scott and felt that she shouldn't have final say over the name since he is not doing his part as a father."

In the end, Kourtney's choice remained and baby Disick was named Reign Aston. The insider who revealed the fight also added that the eldest Kardashian sister's decision was to motivate Scott to act like the dad that he is.

"Kourtney wanted to make the name decision to really hit home with Scott and see if it makes him want to finally change and get his act together," the insider said.

Reign Aston was born on Dec. 14, 2014. The whole family is excited with the addition to their family. A friend revealed to E! News that, "The family is freaking out with joy." He shares his birthday with older brother Mason, who turned five last week. The reality TV family describes it as an "amazing coincidence."
