'Jurassic World' Release Date, Cast & Trailer: Colin Trevorrow Talks Hybrid Dinosaur

22 years after the dino-thriller based from Michael Crichton's book came out, Universal Pictures has recently released the trailer of the fourth installment of the "Jurassic Park" series called, "Jurassic World."

The movie will star Chris Pratt, best known for his role in Marvel's "Guardians of the Galaxy," as a researcher who visited a theme park of dinosaurs located at the Isla Nubar. The theme park boasts of the species all bred in the island.

The fourth installment centers on a "hybrid" dinosaur created in the park's lab. The new specie was created to attract more visitors to check out the park. However, as in any Jurassic movie, the dinosaurs cause Pratt and his gang danger. Bryce Dallas Howard joins Pratt as Claire, the park's manager while Nick Robinson and Ty Sympkins portray her nephews.

Pratt, a fan of the sci-fi action series, could not contain his excitement in being part of the project. "I grew up loving Jurassic Park and these epic spectacles," he told Entertainment Weekly. "I saw the first one opening night in the theater. It was a huge moment for me," he added.

As early as 2009, talks of fourth movie in the series have been swirling around but no confirmation has been made. In August 2013, Joe Johnston, who directed the third movie revealed to Screenrant, "We are in discussions about 'Jurassic Park 4.' The most important thing I can tell you is that it starts a new trilogy that will go off in a different direction - a completely different direction that is very exciting, and different from anything we've seen."

However, when it was announced that Colin Trevorrow would direct the film, the new director was keen on changing some parts of the initial plotline made by Johnston. While the setting is still Isla Nubar, it seemed that new breeds of dinosaurs might be seen roaming as well.

Trevorrow told Screenrant, "There are dinosaurs and there's the other - there's this thing that is not one of them, that is not of them." The director was talking about a "hybrid" dinosaur that would take center stage in the upcoming fim. He added, "There's a lot of bold new ideas in the movie and I'm pushing it as far forward as I can. I know Steven didn't want me to make a carbon copy of the earlier films. So we're going for it. "He has been working closely with Steven Spielberg who directed the first movie and is executive producer of Jurassic World."
