LG G4 vs Sony Xperia Z4 Release Date, Specs & Price Comparison - Which is Better?

The year is coming to a close, and with 2015 comes a whole new set of devices from some of the best mobile phone manufacturers in the world, such as LG's G4 and Sony's Xperia Z4, Christian Today reported.

Rumors have been circulating for months about the upcoming flagship phones. While the specs of both have yet to be confirmed by any of the higher ups and executives of both companies, that has not stopped reports from appearing on sites including PC Pro, Android Pit, Tech Radar, Design & Trend and more to compare the South Korea-based LG and Japan-based Sony.

The LG G4 is looking to be the slightly bigger phone with a QuadHD screen that is possibly around 5.3 to 5.7 inches with a resolution of 3840 x 2160. Rumors have it the the screen will be flexible and that it will come with a G Pen stylus.

The Sony Xperia Z4, on the other hand, is said to come with a 5.2-inch QuadHD screen in an aluminum glass- and water-proof housing, and the speakers being moved to the top and right of the handset instead of the top and center.

For the phone's insides, the LG G4 will reportedly come with a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chip paired with 4 GB of RAM, while the Sony Xperia Z4 will come with a quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor chip with 3 GB of RAM. Both phones are also expected to rock the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system from Google when they come out.

For the cameras, tech websites speculate that the LG G4 will come with a rear camera of 21 megapixels that work well even under low-light conditions, while the Sony Xperia Z4 might sport a rear camera of 20 or 21 megapixels. The LG G4 camera is also rumored to be able to record 4K video at around 60 frames per second.

When it comes to the battery, the LG G4 will likely be an upgrade from its predecessor, while the Sony Xperia Z4 is already rumored to be operating with a 3420 mAh battery.

As for the important issue of price, the rumor mill has presented only estimates, with the LG G4 coming up to around £500 to £550 (around $780 to $857), while the Sony Xperia Z4 will most likely be priced similar to its predecessor, which had a tag price of £549 (around $855).

Both phones will reportedly hit stores sometime next year, with the LG G4 arriving at May or August 2015, while the Sony Xperia Z4 might be announced at an earlier date around March to April 2015.
