America's Fastest Growing Neighborhoods & Why They Made It to the List

America's fastest-growing neighborhoods were identified by Realtor.com. With "fastest growing," they point out to places where opportunities for jobs abound, neighborhoods are increasing, as well as new houses and apartments are being established to meet the locations' demands.

The study included neighborhoods from Brooklyn to Las Vegas. The analysis was able to yield a fascinating combination of unexpected locations on the rise and areas that most people perceive as at their peak already.

Each one in the list, according to the analysis of their ZIP codes, had gone through job growth that is several times greater than the "top counties" across America.

  • Power Ranch (Gilbert, AZ; ZIP Code 85297). The neighborhood's projected household growth in the next five years is 15.9 percent. Around Phoenix, Gilbert is a family's suburban dream. Getting the top of the Boom Towns' list, the region covers Power Ranch, Trilogy, and Seville neighborhoods.  Although surrounded by highly-advanced amenities, the area has a laid-back feel.
  • Historic Cultural Center (Los Angeles, CA; ZIP Code 90012). The area's projected household growth in the next five years is 8.8 percent. The ZIP 90012 includes Chinatown, Elysian Park, Little Tokyo, and Mission Junction. In 2015, a $140 million project that consists of 355 residential units broke ground, according to a feature by Lapca. The project will be instrumental in strengthening connections between Chinatown, El Pueblo, and the downtown.
  • Downtown (Dallas, TX; ZIP Code 75201). The area's projected household growth in the next five years is 14.9 percent. Downtown Dallas, previously, was a ghost town when 5 p.m. hits during the weekdays. However, recent redevelopments have transitioned the area into an alive neighborhood where residents can purchase local produce. Also, a 108 years old high school is going to be transformed into retail and office building. The progress will bring in added visitors and employment.

Through area makeovers, including increased security, underground parking decks, and streetside parking meters, numerous stores benefited through double-digit sales growth, according to a feature from Nap Properties.
