Celebrity Homes: Damon Wayans Sr. Buys Hancock Park Home for $5.35M

One of the head of the notorious Wayans comedy dynasty just snagged a stunning estate in Los Angeles California. According to Trulia, Damon Wayans Sr., the future star of the "Lethal Weapon" television series, bought the grand Paul Williams-style property located on one of the most coveted streets in the Hancock Park neighborhood. It was reported that the home has a total of five bedrooms and seven bathrooms.

The stylish main home that was built in 1949 features an open floor plan which provides a lot of natural light. The formal living room has a stunning marble fireplace which sits near two large bay windows. The chef's kitchen and the breakfast room are equipped with custom built-ins, and it is the ideal spot for family gatherings. There is also a family/media room which has its own fireplace. The room opens to the backyard and provides the place with a sense of indoor and outdoor flow.

The stunning master bedroom has its own private deck and custom walk-in closets. It also has a luxurious master bathroom. The home is equipped with top-of-the-line security system, complete with security cameras inside and outside the residence. It also has a surround sound and home automation system.

Outside the residence, there is a separate guest house which features beamed ceilings. According to Variety, the guest house is a studio-style apartment complete with marble-countered kitchen and a full bathroom.

The exterior of the home also features a grassy backyard and a black-bottom saline swimming pool. There is also a vine-encrusted poolside pavilion which was set up as a gym that has a bathroom and an outdoor shower space. There is also a two-car garage under the guest house.

Damon also owns a $3 million condo in Santa Monica which he bought in 2005.
