Home Design: Here's How to Maximize 362 Square Feet of Living Space

If you are only given about 362 square feet of living space, what do you think you should do? Maximize it of course! Here are some helpful tips on how you can utilize the space without making your house look crammed.

According to Good Housekeeping, designer Whitney Leigh Morris teamed up with production coordinator Adam Winkleman in recreating one house in Venice Beach, California.

While speaking with the publication, Morris revealed that they went in search of different houses and actually found several options. However, they ended up choosing the tiny house because it was so full of light.

Since Morris and Winkleman were both drawn to the light of the tiny property, they decided to position their small couch right below the windows. On the left side of the couch is a small table where vases are placed. Across the living room is a small study area where a wooden table and wooden chairs can be seen.

The study area is placed against the wall of the bedroom which proves that space can easily be maximized if you know where to position your furniture.

Meanwhile, the bedroom itself is a revelation on its own. For one, the bed looks short compared to other types of beds, but they still guarantee comfort and relaxation. Since there is no space for a bookshelf, this is what the homeowners used as their headboard.

The base of the bed itself comes with a compartment. In the photo published on Elle Decor, a dog can be seen sitting in the compartment which means that it is spacious enough. Drawers can also be seen on the sides of the bed, and are attached to the bookshelf headboard.

Outside the house is a 10-seater dining space that is perfect for outdoor dining. Since the dining space cannot fit inside the house, the homeowners decided to have it outdoors.
